On January 30th, the press conference for the 2026 World Cultural and Tourism Industry Expo Global Tour and 2026 Global IP (Copyright) Industry Cooperation and Trade Fair was held in Guangzhou.
As the deep integration of the tourism industry and the IP economy has become a trend of the times, IP, as the core emotional carrier and value anchor, is becoming a key force driving the iteration and upgrading of the cultural tourism industry and helping culture go global. ”Wang Zhaoyun, Chairman of Guangdong Hongwei International Exhibition Group Co., Ltd., stated at the meeting that Hongwei Group has been deeply involved in the exhibition industry for more than 20 years, holding over 1000 exhibitions, serving more than 100000 exhibitors, and receiving over 20 million professional visitors. With the launch of the global exhibition plan and IP trade fair, the group will take the "One Exhibition, Multiple Countries, One Exhibition, Multiple Cities" overseas strategy as the driving force, promote the deep integration of exhibition modes online and offline, and build a high-end industrial service platform that combines resource aggregation, practical docking, and value co creation, allowing Chinese cultural and tourism IP to shine on the world stage.
At the event, Hu Yuhua, Executive President of Guangdong Hongwei International Convention and Exhibition Group, officially announced the global exhibition plan for the 2026 World Cultural and Tourism Industry Expo and the World Cultural and Tourism Overseas Alliance. In 2026, the "One Exhibition, Multiple Countries, One Exhibition, Multiple Cities" model will be used to connect core markets in Asia, Europe, and South America. The synchronized establishment of the World Cultural and Tourism Overseas Alliance will integrate core elements such as overseas market information, procurement resources, logistics and financial services, and help small and medium-sized enterprises overcome the pain points of dispersed resources and limited channels when going overseas. The Guangzhou station of the touring exhibition has been upgraded again on the basis of previous editions, integrating an exhibition scale of 300000 square meters, more than 4000 participating companies, and more than 250000 professional audience resources, covering 20 thematic exhibition areas such as amusement and cultural tourism, digital cultural tourism, and leisure cultural tourism. At the same time, more than 30 industry forums have been held, creating a global platform that integrates exhibition, communication, and cooperation.
IP is the soul of cultural and tourism products, and cultural and tourism products are the carriers of IP. The deep integration of the two requires a professional platform to build a supply and demand bridge. Liu Qi, the project manager of Hongwei Group, introduced the 2026 Global IP (Copyright) Industry Cooperation Fair to the industry at the meeting. The exhibition focuses on "IP Empowering the Whole Industry" as its core, with a focus on practical docking. It not only provides full chain services for copyright trading and scene landing for IP parties, but also matches high-quality IP resources for cultural tourism and manufacturing enterprises, promoting the transformation of IP from a "cultural symbol" to a "value-added engine" for physical industries.
IP x design x industry docking: unlocking diverse paths for integrated practice
Through the collision of cutting-edge concepts and the analysis of practical cases, the rich possibilities of the integration of IP and cultural tourism were fully demonstrated on site. The free communication link further facilitated the precise docking of IP parties, cultural tourism enterprises, and design institutions, turning ideological collisions into opportunities for practical cooperation and providing fresh samples for the integrated development of industries.
From the innovative practice of empowering IP scenarios with cultural and tourism design, to the international transmission of design value in global exhibitions, this event is not only a milestone in the development of the cultural and tourism IP industry, but also a new starting point for the synergy of Chinese IP, cultural and tourism, and design forces to go global. The successful hosting of this event symbolizes that the cultural and tourism IP industry is bidding farewell to the traditional model of "IP creation and scene landing disconnect". With policy empowerment, industry collaboration, and market drive, cultural and tourism design is the core link, moving towards a new stage of integration of IP creativity, design transformation, industry landing, and global layout.
It is reported that from May 10th to 12th this year, the Canton Fair exhibition hall will also welcome the grand opening of the 2026 World Cultural and Tourism Industry Expo Global Tour and 2026 Global IP (Copyright) Industry Cooperation and Trade Fair. The three-day exhibition will establish a core hub for the industry to connect global resources and promote value transformation.
