Nanning, December 25th (Xinhua) -- The 2025 China ASEAN Film Exhibition kicked off on the evening of December 25th at the Ethnic Cinema in Nanning, Guangxi. ASEAN international students from universities in Guangxi and local movie fans attended to watch the Malaysian comedy film 'New Year's Miracle'.
Watching Malaysian movies in Guangxi feels very familiar, "said Pan Yujie, a Malaysian international student at Guangxi University for Nationalities." There are many international students from ASEAN countries in Guangxi, and the holding of film exhibitions has built a bridge for cultural exchange, which helps everyone get to know and date each other.

This China ASEAN Film Festival brings together 18 excellent films, including 10 from ASEAN countries, presenting the cultural customs and heritage of ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore from multiple perspectives.
The person in charge of the organizer Nanning Dadi Feige Cultural Industry Group Co., Ltd. introduced that since the China ASEAN Film Exhibition was held in 2017, more than 70 excellent films produced by China and ASEAN countries have successively appeared, with a total of more than 200 screenings and over 20000 viewers. With the continuous expansion of the exhibition scale, the China ASEAN Film Festival has become an important platform for deepening cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN films and enhancing people to people connectivity.
This event provides a platform for ASEAN countries living in Guangxi to think of their hometown and exchange ideas through film screenings. The relevant person in charge of Nanning Ethnic Film Culture and Entertainment Co., Ltd. introduced that this event also creates a diversified supporting activity of "Film+", by adding city fairs and China ASEAN film concerts, showcasing the cuisine and characteristic music of ASEAN countries, and creating new consumption scenes.
