The 7th Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance, Innovation and Development Conference was held for the first time in Hong Kong on the 2nd. About 800 traditional Chinese medicine experts, scholars, and industry representatives from various regions attended the conference to exchange ideas on the future direction of global development of traditional medicine, clinical services and scientific research development of traditional Chinese medicine, modernization research of traditional Chinese medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine standards.

The theme of the conference is "Gathering of Qihuang, Co creation in the Bay Area, and International Bloom". The Director of the Medical and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Lu Chongmao, stated that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has been committed to promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine. The two flagship institutions for the development of traditional Chinese medicine, the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital and the Government Chinese Medicine Testing Centre Permanent Building, will be put into service on the 11th, which will help promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine services, professional training, scientific research innovation, standard setting and international cooperation, and showcase the value and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine to the international community. In addition, the "Blueprint for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine" will be released, setting clear directions for the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong and promoting the all-round, high-quality, and high-level development of traditional Chinese medicine and herbal medicine.

The main forum of the conference is themed "Global Development of Traditional Medicine: Policy Support, Scientific Research Innovation, and Regional Cooperation", exploring how to promote the deep integration of traditional medicine into the modern medical system through scientific innovation and cross regional cooperation.

This conference is hosted by the Medical and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau of Guangdong Province, and the Health Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. It is jointly organized by the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital. The next conference will be organized by the Macau SAR government.
