Observation of the Canton Fair: Jointly build the "the Belt and Road" market, and Chinese enterprises aim at business opportunities to find orders

Created on 10.28
"We focus on building the 'the Belt and Road' market, including the Middle East and Russia, which have an urgent demand for service robots in the fields of commercial cleaning, logistics and distribution." At the 138th Canton Fair held here, Gao Bin, the foreign trade manager of Shenzhen Hongxujin Technology Co., Ltd., received a batch of foreign trade orders.
At this year's Canton Fair, the service robots exhibited by Chinese companies have attracted much attention. In Gao Bin's view, the prospect of Chinese service robots going global is quite optimistic. He said that the countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" have close economic and trade relations with China, and have broad prospects for cooperation, which is the key area for the company to realize its global layout.
According to the official report of the Canton Fair, the number of pre registered purchasers from countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" at the 138th Canton Fair increased significantly. In recent days, reporters from China News Service have learned at the Canton Fair that a considerable proportion of buyers from Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other regions have a huge demand for high-quality products from China.
Sun Renhong, Sales Manager of the International Business Department of Baroque Wood Industry (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd., has received an order for two containers from a Saudi Arabian purchaser. He stated that the traditional wooden flooring produced by the company has a higher price and was previously mainly sold to North America and other places. Now, he clearly feels that the purchasing power of consumers in Southeast Asia, Central Asia and other regions is rapidly increasing.
At the booth of Jiangxi Jishida Kitchen Supplies Co., Ltd., purchaser Nene Pengda from Africa stated that in recent years, the standards for kitchen supplies in the African market have been continuously improving, and Chinese companies can provide high-quality products that meet this demand. The general manager of the company, Qiu Shangui, said that in recent years, with the help of the Canton Fair, the company has met many buyers from South America, Southeast Asia, Africa and other places, further optimizing its market layout.
Doing OEM and OEM has been the path taken by many Chinese foreign trade enterprises. Nowadays, many Chinese companies are expanding their overseas markets with their own brands, increasing product added value and profit margins.
At this year's Canton Fair, Zhejiang Dabilin Valve Co., Ltd. brought 9 series of nearly 3000 products, with a focus on the Central Asian and Middle Eastern markets. This enterprise, which used to start with OEM, has now established its own brand in more than 20 countries. The chairman of the company, Lin Hailin, said that the company is determined to build its own brand in order to get rid of the label of "cheap and low-end" OEM products.
The joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" market continues to heat up, providing new opportunities for the development of cross-border payment platforms. Peng Zhong, Director of Product Operations at PingPong, a global payment platform, told reporters that the platform directly holds payment licenses in countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, and has local teams in multiple cities such as Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang to provide payment services for Chinese companies' overseas expansion. In the first half of 2025, the trading scale of the platform serving the Southeast Asian market will achieve significant year-on-year growth.
