On June 11th, it was announced that AliExpress Mexico has partnered with DiDi Fintech Mexico to provide consumers with buy now pay later and installment payment options. After launching the payment discount activity during the hot sale period on AliExpress, the weekly order volume increased by 300% compared to the previous week. During the HOT SALE promotion, the entire industry in Mexico achieved growth compared to the March AliExpress anniversary promotion, with the fastest growing categories being mobile communications, footwear/sportswear, beauty and health, consumer electronics, and home appliances. Among them, a mobile phone brand merchant achieved a 10 fold increase in sales compared to the previous period through internal and external promotion, and a shoe merchant achieved an 18 fold increase in sales compared to the previous period.

The flexible online payment methods have greatly stimulated the shopping enthusiasm of Mexican consumers. Previously, AliExpress had partnered with OXXO, a leading convenience store in Mexico, to offer payment services and set up exclusive advertising spaces on electronic screens, billboards, checkout counters, and other locations in 20000 offline stores. When Mexican consumers place orders on AliExpress, in addition to choosing online payment, they can also pay the order amount in cash or by scanning a code at the nearest OXXO offline store, without the need to bind a credit card, and enjoy long-term discounts.
In response to the upcoming overseas 618 promotion, AliExpress will also collaborate with Didi's overseas payment business to provide Mexican consumers with payment benefits and installment plans of 60 pesos off for orders over 150 pesos. The threshold for full discounts is lower, improving purchase conversion and exploring more booking opportunities for Chinese cross-border merchants.
It is worth mentioning that AliExpress recently launched a car selling service, which was first launched in the Middle East during the overseas 618 shopping festival. According to the AliExpress store page, the currently available vehicles are mainly Chinese new energy vehicles, including popular models such as BYD Yuan, Geely Xingyuan, Xiaomi SU7, Ideal L7, Xiaopeng G9, etc. Many of them have joined the AliExpress billion yuan subsidy brand to go global. AliExpress is also the first platform among the "Four Little Dragons of Going Global" to sell cars.
