Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce visits Laos Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macau for the first time

On March 27, the day after the Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce was inaugurated, President Zhong Fuquan led the Chamber of Commerce delegation to visit the Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Hong Kong and Macau. The visit focused on deepening the pragmatic cooperation between the Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce and Laos in the fields of economy, trade, investment, culture, tourism, agriculture, etc., and jointly exploring new opportunities for cooperation between the two sides under the "Belt and Road" initiative.

Consul General Ammala SAENCHONGHACK and Consul Soubanh KENETHABURI warmly received the delegation of Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce. The two sides had an in-depth and friendly discussion in the Consulate General.

He warmly welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the current economic development, investment environment and key industrial projects in Laos. He stressed that Laos has great potential for cooperation in agricultural development, mining resources, tourism industry and other aspects, and sincerely invited entrepreneurs in Hong Kong and Gansu from the Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce to visit Laos, conduct visits and exchanges, explore cooperation opportunities, and jointly promote the cooperation between the two sides to a higher level.

At the meeting, President Zhong Fuquan introduced the grand opening of the Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce to Consul General Ammala Saenchonghack. The establishment of the Hong Kong Gansu Chamber of Commerce has been strongly supported by the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. Vice Governor Wang Bing led relevant departments to attend the unveiling ceremony and issued appointment letters to the Chief President, President, Honorary President and Honorary Advisor. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee delivered a video speech praising the pioneering significance of the "Golden Channel for Cooperation between Gansu and Hong Kong" and emphasized that Gansu, as the pearl of the Silk Road, is rich in products and energy. President Zhong Fuquan took this opportunity to sincerely invite Laotian entrepreneurs to Gansu to participate in the Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, the Pharmaceutical Expo, and the Dunhuang Cultural Expo to seek business opportunities for cooperation. At the same time, the Chamber of Commerce will also organize entrepreneurs from Gansu and Hong Kong to visit Laos for exchanges, so that the two sides can spark cooperation after in-depth understanding.
