On the 26th, it was learned from the Construction and Management Committee of Minhang District, Shanghai, that the first "Harry Potter Studio Tour" project in China, located at Jinjiang Amusement Park, has obtained its pile foundation construction permit and officially commenced on-site construction. The civil engineering project is slated for completion in January 2027.

Following London in the UK and Tokyo in Japan, this marks the first time the Harry Potter Studio Tour will be established in China. The project reportedly covers an area of 58,648 square meters, with a total construction area of approximately 75,223.42 square meters, comprising 38,578.42 square meters above ground and 36,645 square meters underground. The overall project construction period will exceed 2 years.

As a panoramic City Walk exploration project, the project integrates film and television production with cultural exhibition, providing immersive learning, roaming, multi-dimensional exploration, and the latest trendy experience. It is the main building of a tourism project that showcases the production process of the Harry Potter film series.

Jinjiang Amusement Park is the first large-scale professional amusement park in Shanghai, carrying the beautiful memories of leisure and entertainment for Shanghai people. After the renovation and upgrade of Jinjiang Amusement Park, all the existing amusement facilities in the park, except for the hotel and Ferris wheel, will be dismantled. Among them, the Shanghai Grand Wheel Ferris Wheel will be updated and rebuilt, with a tentative height of 118 meters for the new Ferris wheel.
