The east wind brings early spring in full view. Early in the morning, Xiang Bing, the general manager of Keli Keying (Beijing) New Materials Co., Ltd., drove towards Samsung Building. Under the call of the era of green and digital dual wheel drive, he aims to promote the company's flagship products to Europe, the benchmark market for global carbon neutrality.
At this time, the Finnish Prime Minister and the British Prime Minister have just finished their visit to China, and Europe is looking east for opportunities. The International Business Lounge held a themed salon called "International Business Lounge Enters Europe" at the Samsung Building in Beijing. Senior diplomats including Jin Xu, President of the China International Trade Association and former Minister Counsellor of China to the UK, Ma She, former Deputy Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Commerce and former Minister Counsellor of China to France, and Sun Liwei, former Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Finland, attended the event.
They brought a timely rain, unlocking cooperation channels for the European market for the companies present.
Xiang Bing asked, "Keli Keying is the first enterprise in China that uses coal solid waste as raw material to extract inorganic fibers and press them into new types of boards. This product has three core advantages: firstly, it has a fire rating of A, and also has waterproof, UV resistant and other properties; Secondly, it belongs to the product of solid waste resource utilization, with outstanding green and low-carbon attributes, and has strong promotion potential in the European market; Thirdly, all performance indicators can meet the requirements of European standards. Can such a product enter the European market?"
Xiang Bing is confident, after all, they have formed a high-end R&D team guided by academicians and led by PhDs, obtained 23 national patents and 5 international certifications, and have completely independent intellectual property rights. Moreover, the company has achieved industrial technology implementation: six intelligent production lines have been built to achieve standardized and large-scale production, forming an industrial capacity of 60 million square meters of carbon fiber board per year. Xiang Bing said, "In Europe, the price of boards of the same quality is four times higher than that in China, and the market acceptance is relatively high. Therefore, exploring the European market has become an important development direction for enterprises, but currently there is a lack of efficient bridges and channels to connect with the European market."
Based on this, Jin Xu, who has been deeply involved in the European market for many years, pointed out that currently, the production and sales volume of China's sheet metal industry are large and prices are low. It is difficult to directly acquire European brands, but if we can cooperate with local established enterprises and leverage their brands, channels, and standards, we are expected to achieve twice the result with half the effort and shorten the cycle for our products to become world-class.
Ma She pointed out that in order to accurately connect with the international market, enterprises urgently need to clarify three gaps: first, differences in international standard systems, second, pricing mechanisms in domestic and foreign markets, and third, international marketing models, and learn from international advanced experiences in a targeted manner. The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) by 2025 has covered related products such as cement, steel, and coal. The relevant policies of the European Union require products to provide a complete carbon footprint accounting report. If they do not meet the EU carbon emission standards, corresponding carbon costs need to be paid, which will directly push up the comprehensive cost of the product. Through the utilization of solid waste resources, Keli Keying is more in line with the EU's requirements for green and low-carbon development.
For the channels of entering the European market, the above-mentioned attendees introduced the docking methods of organizations such as the UK China Trade Association, the Finnish International Business Promotion Agency, and the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronics.
Zhang Mei, the general manager of Wanjie Tianyuan Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., also has plans to go abroad to Europe. The enterprise has long been deeply involved in the field of sports medicine, with a core focus on the research and technological innovation of high-end medical devices such as artificial ligaments and joint cartilage repair scaffolds. In 2013, the company was the first to introduce French artificial ligament products into the Chinese market and served as the general agent in China. In the long-term process of international cooperation, the enterprise has accumulated solid industry experience and technological foundation. The artificial ligaments independently developed by the enterprise have reached the international leading level, and the core technical indicators have surpassed those of the original French cooperative enterprises; The enterprise has surpassed similar European companies in terms of clinical practice accumulation and product iteration speed. Zhang Mei said that the company's related products are actively promoting EU market access certification and plan to enter the EU and European markets through a "product output+technology output" model.
Industry insiders at the conference analyzed that as the world's most developed free trade zone, the EU's 27 member states have mature norms in capital circulation, monetary system, tariff policies, technical standards, and legal environment, making it a market with a high degree of rule of law and complete supporting facilities. Enterprises entering the region for development do not need to worry too much about basic supporting facilities and compliance issues, and various guarantees are relatively in place. But high standards also mean high requirements, and labor costs and compliance costs cannot be ignored
Jin Xu added that medical resources are undoubtedly a highly promising development direction for the future. But to do well in this market, the core needs to be equipped with professional medical talents and foreign language talents, while breaking through the barriers of international services. We can first focus on core customer groups such as embassies and consulates in China, foreign enterprises, and international students, actively establish docking and cooperation, and transform China's high-quality medical capabilities into international medical service advantages.
The attending guests also conducted in-depth interpretations on practical issues such as market access paths, business environment differences, compliance points, and channel docking in different European countries. The content was precise, practical, and informative, providing a timely rain for enterprises to go global. Participating companies have expressed that through this exchange, the path to exploring the European market is clearer, the direction is clearer, and the confidence is more firm. In the future, they will seize new opportunities for China Europe economic and trade cooperation, and build a new pattern of mutual benefit with high-quality products and core technologies.
