The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicks off its global promotion in Hong Kong, aiming to assist participating enterprises in expanding their global networks

The 9th China International Import Expo (referred to as "CIIE") held its first global promotion symposium in Hong Kong on the 28th. At the symposium, it was introduced that the 9th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 this year, aiming to assist participating enterprises in expanding their global networks.
On January 28th, the first global promotion symposium for the 9th China International Import Expo was held in Hong Kong. Wu Zhengping, Deputy Director of the China International Import Expo Bureau, delivered a speech, stating that since the first CIIE was held in 2018, Hong Kong has always been an important participant. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, industry organizations, and others have been deeply involved, ranking among the top participants in terms of both the number of exhibiting enterprises and the exhibition area. The CIIE can promote Hong Kong's international trade resources, high-quality goods, and professional services to better enter the mainland market and further expand to the global market.
At the meeting, Fang Hui, General Manager of the Exhibition Department of the China International Import Expo Bureau, and Lok Ho-wai, Executive Vice President of the Hong Kong Greater China SME Association, signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation as representatives of both parties.
Le Kewei stated that against the backdrop of rising geopolitical uncertainty, a fair and open platform for cooperation is of utmost importance, and the CIIE serves as a premium platform for global enterprises to engage in economic and trade cooperation and enhance exchanges.
The symposium included a special presentation session, which provided a detailed interpretation of the highlights, advantages, and opportunities of the 9th CIIE. At the same time, several representatives of Hong Kong enterprises who had participated in the CIIE were invited to share their practical experience and fruitful results in breaking through the existing circles and expanding global business channels through the CIIE.
The event is hosted by the China International Import Expo Bureau and organized by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia).
